Take an idea from zero to launch
I build production-ready Rails apps from scratch: auth, payments, and a clean path to your first users. I built Stopover, a travel app with curated city guides, end to end (Stripe, Devise, Rails).

I help startups and teams get projects off the ground, taking ideas from a blank repo to a shipped, production-ready product. Six years building SaaS and eCommerce apps with Rails, both from scratch and on top of legacy systems.
Currently open to remote roles and projects.
Whatever stage you're at, I focus on the outcome, not just the code.

Small, well-placed features can move real numbers. At PostSnap I introduced checkout add-ons (frames, albums) to lift average basket value on an established eCommerce store.
I design and build reliable third-party integrations: a Reapit API wrapper for an estate-agency CRM, Delighted NPS feedback, and Clearbit data enrichment.
I'm comfortable in older, real-world codebases: extending features, adding tests, and upgrading safely. I've worked across Rails 5 through 8 in both startups and established teams.
I use AI across the development lifecycle: planning, building, testing, and review, to ship faster without sacrificing quality. I lean on coding agents for speed and keep disciplined testing and review in the loop.
Brought on to introduce "add-ons" (frames, photo albums) during checkout to increase average basket value for an online photo-printing service.

Built from scratch: a travel app that generates curated, personalised city guides, with payments and authentication.
A Rails app that centralises in-house recruitment: tracking candidates, enriching profiles via the People Data Labs API, and managing the hiring pipeline from first application to final decision.
Built the admin UI and API endpoints letting the team manage all content for the Focusgov public-sector website.

I'm a Ruby on Rails developer with six years' experience delivering production-ready applications, primarily in SaaS and eCommerce. I've worked in early-stage startups building from scratch, and in established teams maintaining and extending large legacy codebases.
I care about shipping things that move the needle, whether that's a revenue feature, a clean integration, or a safe upgrade. I'm based in Cambridge, UK, and work remotely with dynamic, driven teams.
